I'm a singer-songwriter and I moved to london just over a year ago. I just
wanted you to know resulting from a bandit contact I gained a production
deal with "SOUNDJOINT" producers Barnaby Smith and Chris Bachmann.
We have recorded an EP called . I have just about finsihed
off the artwork, etc and will be ready to start putting this out to labels for
potential release in the coming months via more great bandit contacts -
hopefully !!! Many thanks for all you do for myself and others and keep up
the good work. Jonny Amos, UK
Here's an update so far since I subscribed over three years ago after which
I soon stopped because of the workload your newsletter generated. So far I
have had a co-write release with Sony, Holland, another with Vale Music,
Spain, a song on the new Bratz DVD Starrin' & Stylin' released by 20th
Century Fox, two tracks co-written with Gary Mill (another subscriber,(and a
great chap!)) released by Milleville Publishing (who were the publishers
that did the song Black Box, Ride On Time). A song joint published with Rick
James's management and record companies wanting more material. I also
co-write with International songwriters now which is great !!! I am
exclusively signed to a London Music Publisher which means that my songs get
heard at every level of A&R Internationally.
If there is anybody out there that is doubting the credibility of your
newsletter - (like I did for ages before I actually paid the extremely
reasonable fee) then please think again. I am now a member of PRS and MCPS,
the two giants in our field which means I can now do pretty much anything in
terms of releasing records and licensing music to anybody if I want,
anywhere, anytime !! - but I have a publisher firmly on my side which is the
BEST THING any songwriter can have.
Can't thank you enough for top class research and networking.
All the best! Lex James PRS/MCPS

peoplesound to do the same...not same Album though. I am 'made up'

invaluable advice and information over the past few months. Through
Bandit I met my current manager and after working with him for a

I thought you might be interested to know that

newsletter, 20 year old Pop/R&B vocalist Pippa Rogers from Cardiff is soon to
fly out to Italy to discuss a possible production deal with Ilenia Carli of
AnyWay Music. Keep up the great work. Phil Rogers, UK.

by yet another NBC TV show courtesy of Lappen Inc. (by way of Bandit of course)
I recommend Bandit to all the musicians I know. Damian Eckstein, USA.
Would like to send thanks to you and your army for all the contacts. I have had
great responses from D-em uk records was C3 Records also Wild Side publishing.
Had offers from both but have kept my options open just for now. But always on
the lookout. Nikki McGuinness, UK www.alaskalyle.com
Many thanks for the four record releases got from bandit - they sold many
thousands of records without making my fortune and it was fun to go into Virgin
Mega-store and HMV and see my songs on the racks. The other thing that I got was
having three songs on Mike Colliers Robinsong operation. Those compilations sold
many thousands of copies. Although they were on budget labels - they were on
sale everywhere and it was great when a friend told me they had been at the
Americana exhibition at Newark show ground and had seen hundreds of people line
dancing to one of my songs. Alan Whittle, UK.
This is just a note to say that due to your newsletter I have secured three
signings with a publisher and a further signing with a record company/publisher.
It's only taken me twenty years !!! Well many thanks to you and your team and
keep up the good work, I'm very grateful and will shout the benefits of The
Bandit Newsletter to other musicians. I owe you a huge beer ! Lex James, UK.

stuff, Michael family and team have accepted one of my songs. Bandit Newsletter
REALLY works! Thanks again John for your assistance. John McCorry, UK.
Last year, having responded to an article in Bandit, the Oregan based indie
label Peacework Music, signed Liz and has been promoting her both within the US
and Japan. Recently the Japanese Yellow Beat group heard one of Liz' tracks
called "Rocks My Boat" and liked the track. Yellow Beat then asked Jef Peace the CEO of Peacework Music to provide a full catalogue of her songs as well as the
usual promo material. She is currently getting airplay in Japan. She is also
featured on Peacework's web site. Liz was asked to do a tour of the West Coast
between this July and September but had previously committed to an Australian
ski season residency over that period.
Ross McRae, AUSTRALIA.
Because of Bandit I have secured a 5 year 5 CD deal with Icefire Int'l Records,
Firedragon Music Publishing and Vandor Music Group. It is primarily a promotion
and distribution contract that comes with corporate offices and an audio/video
studio. My first release is due out later this year as market testing of my
music has been very positive. It has taken several years to get it this far from
when I first responded to an ad in Bandit, but I made it. Thanks! :) David Raven,
My name is Ariel and I'm a subscriber of your very helpful newsletter. I
received an offer from HOME CITY RECORDS to be my publisher for the four tracks

Swami (my band's namesake) has got two songs respectively on NBC's teen drama's "Just Deal" and "Skate". It's nationwide, looks great on the press kit to the record labels, and plus the band is making money for once. All thanks to Lappen Enterprises and Bandit. Keep those leads coming.
Damian Eckstein, (USA)

Thanks to the July issue of Bandit I've had an excellent contact with Norman McCourt of Australian Music Marketing Abroad and will be
featuring in the next AMMA publication for the Midem and SXSW trade shows next year. Many thanks. Mat Dickson
Thank you for the past issues of Bandit. Your newsletter has been most useful, as I am now signed to Northstar Music. They have agreed to take all of my compositions therefore I will no longer need to receive Bandit. I hope your other subscribers make contact with the right people through your publication as happened in my case. Please cancel my bandit subscription. Thank you again. Tim Whitnell,
Dear John, I have been very impressed with the Bandit A&R and I now have the interest of a production company and am seeking management. Chris Everard,
Just thought I'd let you know that I have recently signed an agency agreement with Lappen Enterprises following the posting in the March 2001
newsletter. The aim is for LEI to get my music into tv/film soundtracks .Dominic Bauers,
I have submitted my promo package to some people in your newsletter. Yesterday I signed a deal memo with Lappen Enterprises in LA, they will shop my material to film and tv productions and sound track projects. Kathy September,
Through my first Bandit mailout, I currently have a producer/engineer presenting my new demo to several of the major record and publishing companies.
Here's hoping and thanks for the contact. Thanks, Alistair Watson,
Just to let you know that the advert for Northstar Music put me in touch with a guy who really likes what I do and has taken a lot of my old stuff and
published it with a view to release etc. The Bandit newsletter strikes again! Thanks.
Jonn Savannah,
Further News about the song "How Many Times" I wrote. Its is now on an Album by Peter
Mylett who is with Foam Records. Since that first subscription to Bandit I have signed
Three songs to Riviera, two of which have been recorded. The second song "Don't Turn Your Back On Me " has been recorded by a Female Artist by the name of Myla.
Kindest Regards, Harry Williams,
Hey there John, just wanted to say what a great newsletter. I got a response from one of the labels you listed called Floating Eye Records in Birmingham! We are really excited to be talking with them. He seems like a really nice guy. ERIC ALEXANDRAKIS, www.ericalexandrakis.com
I think I did already advise of a 2 song publishing deal with Riviera Publishing. Since
then Jack Kavanagh from Sunday Man/Rock Slide Records in USA has been in touch and the following developments areimminent.
1. The singer on one of the demo's I sent Jack last May has put his vocals on one of
Rock Slides own compositions (very Country line dance style - Achy Breaky) which will
be released on one of their compilation CD's.
2 The other song I sent will also be released on one of their compilation CD's with
the singer on my demo doing the vocals, together with a publishing deal for the song
with Rock Slide/Sundayman. Song is titled 'Look at Us'
Also. Patrick Meads from Big World Publishing (August bandit release) has expressed a
strong interest on one of my co-writes, and subject to 1 or 2 contractual agreements,
we will sign a publishing deal with him for our song 'Find yourself a good heart'.
Though I'd let you know, so keep up the good work and contacts. Regards, Dave Cullen, <
Dear John, I am one of your bandit subscribers, and I just want to say thank you
for your service. Because of Bandit I was able to knock back 6 deals! You provide
a valuable, good value for money service. I have secured everything I wanted and more,
you won't hear about me until 2002, but when you do it is partly due to the Bandit Newsletter. Hesham Roberts,

I am writing to say many thanks for the inclusion of our request for film
music "Whatever It Takes" with Director John Glen - James Bond Films
featured on Bandit September Issue 2004. The response from your readers
was absolutely tremendous and as a consequence we are working with
selected top writers for our lead act to perform the material in keeping with
a major signing. We are also pleased to inform you that there are in
addition five acts discovered from the mention to be released via our new
label "Ripple Factor" this spring with world-wide major distribution and
Ripple Promotion. Once again a pleasure and keep up the good work with Bandit helping
artists help themselves.

Grid has just completed its first album with Flannelmouth called "Rain Inside".
We anticipate releases in Australia, Canada, Germany, and the UK for "Rain Inside"
and as you can imagine, this is all very exciting for everyone involved.
Through your publication, we were able to connect with Flannelmouth which
lead to a recording contract and similarly, we connected with Black Bikini
Alpha (UK) with whom we signed a distribution deal for Finland. Bandit is a
fantastik service. Karie Hiebert, Grid Records, Helsinki, Finland

I would like to thank you as I have recently taken on two acts via my feature in
last Augusts Band It. A great electronic pop band called Ringo Levio from
Durham, featuring an awesome singer Laura 17 years old & Paul Thompson their

extraordinaire. Just taken on Steve Anthony a pure pop artist with an electro
edge, a fine singer / songwriter / performer... a Pop Idol with talent not just
good looks & voice. Richard Law, R.L.M.
